TOURISTS and locals will be treated to a wide range of events and entertainment across Dorset this weekend.
There is certain to be something to suit everyone as the summer season gets into full swing.
On Saturday, August 20 events on offer include Christchurch Regatta, the Purbeck Rally of Vintage Cars, Studland Country Fair, the Festival of the Sea and a horticultural show.
Events on Christchurch Quay from 2pm include live bands, fancy dress, children's games and fireworks.
The Purbeck rally, from 9am until 6pm, will be held at Worgret Road, Wareham.
The country fair, from 10am until 6pm, is one of Purbeck's biggest annual events and takes place at Studland.
It includes a fairground, sheep shearing, birds of prey and numerous stalls.
In Poole, the Festival of the Sea involves arena events, tug-of-war, craft stalls and rides.
The horticultural show, to be held at the United Reformed Church in Higher Blandford Road, Broadstone, is on from 1.30pm until 5pm.
The Sturminster Newton carnival is also certain to attract thousands of visitors to north Dorset.
A market, craft fair and displays will keep the crowds entertained throughout the day with the main carnival procession due to be held at 7.15pm.
Even more choice is available on Sunday, August 21 with events across the county.
Fryer's Field in Station Road, West Moors, will host a Skatefest to celebrate the local skate park's first anniversary and the National Can-Am festival of American and European cars will be held at Kingson Lacy.
The ever-popular Kite Festival will take place at Bournemouth's Littledown Centre from 10am until 4pm, with displays, workshops and teddy bear flying, and a companion dog show will be held from midday at Portfield School, Magdalen Lane, Christchurch.
Sherborne Castle will host Britain's first-ever Ironman Triathlon from 6am and Christchurch Regatta events continue on the quay.
For the more adventurous, a charity firewalk will be held at the Yenton Hotel in Gervis Road, Bournemouth in the evening.
