PALS who vowed to walk to every Premiership football ground in under a month have completed their mission.
Nathan Watling and Lee Roberts trekked more than 800 miles - visiting 20 stadiums - to raise cash for charity.
The Weymouth FC fans organised the fundraiser after Nathan's sister Naomi, 21, who had learning disabilities, died last year.
Now back home nursing their blisters, the friends say their exploits have raised more than £10,000 for good causes.
Nathan and Lee departed on the 26-day marathon from the Terras' Wessex Stadium and crossed the finishing line at Newcastle United's St James' Park.
In between they visited every other top flight club along the way - including Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United.
Nathan, who moved to London from Weymouth to work as a lecturer, said: "It was a great feeling to complete the trek - over 800 miles in 26 days was a big challenge and we were really pleased to finish.
"On the whole the walk went pretty smoothly and there were no serious problems.
"On a couple of occasions we both had to encourage the other to keep going, particularly when I injured my thigh near Wolverhampton.
"But the trek was a great experience and something we were extremely pleased to finish."
The pair were given tours around Liverpool's Anfield and Coventry City's new stadium, a highlight for Sky Blues fan Lee who is an accountant at Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester.
After arriving in Newcastle, the intrepid travellers became television stars by chance.
"When we got to St James' Park we spotted Newcastle's assistant manager Terry McDermott in the club car park," explained Nathan.
"He was being interviewed by Sky Sports about a new signing when we caught his eye and started telling him about our walk.
"Terry was fantastic about it and immediately told the Sky Sports crew who filmed a short segment about us which later went out on air.
"It was a great way to finish off the walk."
Nathan and Lee estimate they have raised an initial £10,000, to be split between national special needs charity Care and Weymouth's Ridgeway Centre and Alexandra Road Residential Centre.
The final total will be confirmed later after a gala auction is held.
