IN JUST 24 hours the daring pilots of the world's most famous aerobatic display team will be painting the skies above the town red.
The RAF's Red Arrows' flying visit starts when the jets land in Bournemouth Airport this evening to regroup, refuel and relax.
They will meet some of their biggest fans, including 19-year-old air cadet Jamie Gawler, who starts training to fly RAF fast jets next year, and 83-year-old Win Vincent, who was too ill to make her usual visit to the team earlier this year.
Anne Burningham from FR Aviation, where the Red Arrows will stay tonight, said: "Some of the visitors will have the Red Arrows' legendary teamwork on their minds.
"A team from Poole Hospital, who are coming to have their photos taken with the Red Arrows, use the display team as a role model for excellence, teamwork and communication."
Then tomorrow the daredevils will take off, rendezvousing at noon high above Bournemouth before performing their spectacular repertoire of tricks.
Thousands of people are expected to crowd along the clifftops to watch the team demonstrate their most famous moves, including the Cham-pagne Split, the Short Diamond Loop and the Big Vixen Roll.
Echo roadshows will be out and about tomorrow as well, offering souvenir posters of the Red Arrows and a packet of Starburst sweets for just 50p. For an extra 50p fans can cheer on the daring pilots with a special foam Red Arrow glove.
See Saturday's Echo for our spectacular pictures and report of the display.
