THREE CDs, 60 tracks and loads more killer than filler - can't go wrong
If you're still holding out for summer, you have my sympathy, but this may cheer you up. Three discs - one for the club, one for the bar and one for the beach - and a whole mess of quality house tunes. Mylo's remix of The Killers' Somebody Told Me, Martin Solveig's Everybody, She Got Me On by Paul Johnson, even Weller's timeless Wild Wood all find favour here. Moloko's Sing It Back, X-Press 2's classic Lazy and Tim Deluxe's euphoric It Just Won't Do add flavour; while FSOL's Papua New Guinea and The Beloved's eternal Sun Rising will help recall past glories... and no excuse is ever needed to flick through The Avalanches' Since I Left You.
On the down side you also get Eric Prydz's ludicrous Call On Me, Junior Jack's totally unnecessary E-Samba and the mushy acoustic mix of Basement Jaxx's Romeo.
The absence of killer new tunes will cause concern among the dance nation's die-hards, but as soundtracks to inclement nights away from the white isle go, the Ministry has served up yet another winning miscellany.
