OOOOHH... I feel dizzy. Jean-Luc Godard is a strange fish at the best of time but he's really outdone himself here.
Notre Musique is divided into three kingdoms: hell, purgatory and paradise.
All lovely, then.
Hell get us under way with about 10 minutes of old war footage, comprising footage of Nazis and Native Americans (!). Purgatory has a shadowed Godard himself delivering a lecture in Sarajevo, and
paradise tells of a young girl shot as a suspected suicide bomber.
To say the whole lot makes sense is to lie through the teeth, but you can't deny its beauty and admire the Godard's vision, however bizarre.
