One of the few bands to make it better was Orange Juice whose flighty, flirty, funny take on the punk funk pop party is finally getting the big-up it deserves.
This set rounds up the band's four singles for the tiny Postcard label from the tumbling jangle of Falling and Laughing, through the skewed pop focus of Simply Thrilled Honey to the campy vamp of Poor Old Soul.
There's also a heap of rarities and an unreleased Peel session tune called Blokes on 45 that hints at what might have been had Orange Juice not embarked on the mainstream pop jaunt of Rip It Up - Nick Churchill
