CRACKING on a bit now, this one, but 23 years after its release, Made In Britain still packs a mean punch and remains high among Tim Roth's best work.
Trevor (Roth) is a skinhead. Although he's an intelligent chap, Trevor's an angry young man whom today would have enough ASBOs to construct a 100-foot-high papier mache statue of Henry Kissinger.
He's a nasty piece of work, yet there's enough in Trevor to make the viewer think he could make something of himself.
Whether Trevor knows this or not, the button is firmly pressed on self destruct.
Roth is remarkable, and Made In Britain wouldn't be half as effective without him. Intense and fascinating.
