OUT-of-favour Cherries star Willie Huck lined up in Cambridge's 3-2 victory at Colchester in the Avon Insurance Combination yesterday, reports Neil Perrett.
Huck has joined the Division Two strugglers on a week's trial and is also expected to turn out in a behind-closed-doors friendly against non-league Histon at the Abbey Stadium tomorrow.
The Frenchman, who is available on a free transfer, will be hoping to impress new U's boss John Beck in a bid to earn himself a deal at the Abbey.
Cherries are having difficulty rearranging their Division Two clash against Wycombe Wanderers due to a severe backlog of fixtures for both clubs.
The Dean Court showdown, postponed due to Wycombe's involvement in the FA Cup semi-final against Premier giants Liverpool on April 8, may take place during the last week of April.
Freed Cherries youth team duo Wayne Crutcher and Matt Tubbs are both due to have trials with a host of other clubs.
Defender Crutcher will try his luck with Bristol Rovers, Grimsby and Torquay, while striker Tubbs is also having trials with the Gulls together with Exeter City and Crewe.
