STRIKER Ben Giles smashed home a brilliant hat-trick as mid-table Verwood romped to their first Hampshire League Division One win since October.
Hitman Giles's three strikes were added to by Ian Pitkin's two second half goals as Verwood eased past a lacklustre Romsey on Saturday.
Verwood spokesperson Adie Arnold said: "We dominated the game and it was really nice to see us take our chances because for the last two or three weeks we have been creating chances but not putting them away."
Verwood Town: Fawcett, Arnold, Roberts, Mansfield, R Dashwood, Newman (N Dashwood 70m), Giles, Colley, Moore (Yearby 70m), Pitkin, O'Connor.
