The Old Pros (Swansons, Radipole Lakeside, Weymouth): It's another of those smashtastic rock'n'roll nights with the infamous five who've been there, done that and lived to tell the tale; it's just £5 entry and guaranteed to refresh the parts others seldom reach.
First Men on the Sun (Finn M'Coul's, Westham Road, Weymouth): Bryan Adams to U2 via Santana and Gary Moore from the new band with a big following.
Vinyl Monkeys (Black Dog, St Mary Street, Weymouth): Rock, hard and not so hard, plus originals.
Hokum Society (Players Nightclub, The Esplanade, Weymouth): I hear of changes afoot at Players, with an emphasis on live music. Hurrah, is what we say! Triple-guitar blues merchants Hokum take to the stage tonight at 10 of the clock.
Foo Foo (Hope & Anchor, St.Michael's Lane, Bridport): The chicks from the sticks are the feature at Val's tonight.
Echo Roots (Old George, Trinity Street, Dorchester): Reggae'n'dub turntable spinnage plus live drums from Trevor and Alan.
Gothic Chicken (Jolly Sailor, Castletown, Portland): This'll be one of those bands that cover Egg, Blossom Toes, Kool & The Gang, Focus and The Doors, then.
Happyhead (Excise House, Hope Square, Weymouth): Vintage and contemporary punter-pleasing pop rock.
Lump in the Rug (Cove House Inn, Chiswell, Portland): Ray Charles and Elvis to The Verve and the Levellers from Mike and Julian.
Ken Watkins (Castle Inn, East Street, Corfe Castle): Folk to rock'n'roll in an acoustic kinda way.

BJ McCabe (Cattistock Village Hall): BJ donates his services to raise funds for Cattistock Cricket Club.
