Dorchester Town will entertain Weymouth in the second round of the Dr Martens League Cup.
The Dorset enemies, who recorded first round victories over Bashley and Salisbury respectively in midweek, are due to meet at the Avenue Stadium next month.
The last time the two sides met was in the Dorset Senior Cup final at the Wessex Stadium in April - a game the Magpies won 2-1 after extra-time - and opposing managers Mark Morris and Andy Mason today welcomed the opportunity to renew the rivalry.
Dorchester boss Morris said: "We couldn't have asked for a better draw than that and it just shows how important that win over Bashley was. Instead of a second round trip to play one of the less glamorous teams, we can now look forward to a cracking game at home to a big club like Weymouth."
He added: "We weren't due to play them this season after being relegated last year and so I know the fans will be delighted. Our record against them in cup competitions is pretty tidy and so we've certainly got nothing to fear."
Meanwhile Terras player-manager Andy Mason described the draw as "perfect".
"Games between Dorchester and Weymouth are never taken lightly, be it in the league, the Dorset Senior, FA or Dr Martens Cup", he said. "There's so much local pride at stake for the players, fans and management teams and it will be nice to get the rivalry going again in front of a big crowd at the Avenue Stadium.
"Both teams are going well at the moment and I've no doubt that Mark is like me in as much as he wants to win every game he plays, whatever the competition. It's the perfect draw in every way and I just hope that we're in a position to field two strong sides and that it doesn't detract from our respective promotion campaigns."
A date has yet to be arranged for the fixture although it is expected to take place in mid-December.
Phil Simkin's Magpies reserve side remain top of the Dorset Combination League despite being beaten 2-1 by Holt United at the Avenue Stadium last night.
Richard Drake put the hosts ahead after just 60 seconds, but the visitors hit back to take the points with their winner coming in injury-time.
Dorchester were reduced to ten men late on when Dave Newland was dismissed for dissent.
Dorchester's Dorset Senior Cup third round visit to Hamworthy United will take place on Saturday, December 8, kick-off 2pm.
The Magpies had hoped the game would be rearranged to midweek, but a dispute between the Hammers and their County Ground landlords the Dorset County Football Association means they are unable to use the floodlights.
Dorchester's scheduled trip to Eastbourne in the Dr Martens Eastern League that day will now be postponed to a later date.
Weymouth Sports will make a decision later today on the venue of their third round clash with Weymouth.
Sports are officially the home side although they are expected to move the game from a Saturday afternoon at Redlands to a midweek date at the Wessex Stadium.
