The entertainment starts tonight with a pantomine production of Briar Rose - an adaptation of the Sleeping Beauty story - at Buckland Newton village hall.
She show is staged by renowned troupe Forest Forge Theatre and includes lots of magic, fun and laughs - the perfect family treat, in fact.

Tomorrow nights sees Welsh company Hijinx Theatre stage Ill met by Moonlight at Powerstock Hut (7.30pm, £6; children/family rates).
The play is set on the English/Welsh border where a descendant of Puck still roams, changing shape and putting a spanner in the works of two young lovers. The results of his meddling are sometimes hilarious, sometimes tragic, as you shall see . . .

On Saturday night, the New Inn at West Knighton hosts Two Victorian Tales, starring East Dorset-based actor Raymond Sargent.
The two classic tales, The Signalman by Dickens and Hardy's The Three Strangers, are a stunning mix of the supernatural and strange.
The show is at 8pm and tickets cost £5 plus child and family rates.

Finally, next Wednesday and Friday, Cornwall's Kneehigh Theatre brings the popular children's show Fish Boy to Bridport Arts Centre and Portesham village hall.
An inspirational story for everyone who wants to fit in - but can't quite manage it - the Bridport showing of the play starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £6 with child and family rates.
