A CHAIR developed over several years by Ferndown's Osmond Group is finding favour with cashiers at Madame Tussaud's in London.
The Checkmate chair manufactured by Osmond has a curved seat to allow an 'open pelvis' sitting position which helps to maintain the lumbar curve and reduces back discomfort.
Checkmate was designed for people whose work means sitting down for long periods, which can cause back and circulation problems.
Madame Tussaud's health and safety adviser Peter Gallagher said: "Osmond has customised the Checkmate chairs for our use after a test period."
The chair has been designed by the Seating Research Group.
