A MOTORCYCLIST was injured in an accident on the Ridgeway near Weymouth last night.
The rider, a 34-year-old man from Weymouth, was taken to Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester for treatment. He suffered a broken ankle in the crash.
The man's black Yamaha motorcycle was involved in a collision with a Citroen Berlingo car.
The accident happened in slow moving traffic just outside Weymouth.
Two pensioners in the car, a 78-year-old Weymouth man and his 76-year-old woman passenger, were not hurt.
Police and ambulance crews attended the scene just after 5.30pm. There were delays for drivers as the emergency services dealt with the incident. The motorcyclist was taken to hospital by ambulance and the road was clear at 7pm.
