BROWNIES drew on their creative talents to make hair braids, headdresses and fires during an arts day in Dorchester.
About 100 girls from the Dorchester area joined in the American Indian themed session at St Osmund's Middle School.
The Brownies, aged seven to ten, made edible fires of twiglets, marshmallows and liquorice laces, but also had their faces painted and enjoyed a sing-song.
They came from Tolpuddle, Charminster, Maiden Newton, Martinstown, Broadmayne and Dorchester for the biennial event. District commissioner Sandra Gould said: "It went very well and the Brownies seemed to enjoy themselves."
Mrs Gould is appealing for anyone who wants to help run Rainbow, Brownie and Guide packs, especially in Crossways, to call her on (01305) 263287.
