CARL Fletcher has been boosted by news he could be back in action in a fortnight after fears were allayed he had sustained a serious knee injury.
Fletcher was substituted after twisting his right knee during a clash with Worksop's Krystof Kotylo in Saturday's FA Cup victory over Worksop and hobbled away from Dean Court on crutches.
It was feared Fletcher may have broken his leg, but the 20-year-old midfielder had a scan at the Dorset County hospital yesterday afternoon which revealed he had only suffered minor damage.
Cherries boss Sean O'Driscoll said: "Carl suffered a major trauma inside his knee, but there is no structural damage. With rest and rehabilitation he could be back in a couple of weeks."
