A STAND which highlights violence against women and offers help for victims has been set up at Tesco, Dorchester, by West Dorset Women's Refuge.
It was staged during the International Week Against Violence Towards Women.
One of the visitors, Jeff Champion, received a ribbon from Refuge advisory group chairman Mollie Rennie.
She said: "Jeff was one of many people who visited our recent stand at Tesco. He kindly agreed to support us during the week and wear one of our ribbons.
"One in four women in Dorset suffers domestic violence or abuse every day and this is a problem which has to be tackled.
"Our stand helped to highlight the problem while giving out information on where to go for help to victims or to people who may know a victim."
