FOUL-MOUTHED and violent school pupils are making bus journeys a misery in Bournemouth, it has been claimed.
Unruly and dangerous behaviour by boys from Portchester School is putting members of the public at risk, according to Yellow Buses.
Now the company is threatening to ban pupils from its services unless their behaviour changes.
Complaints have also been made about girls from neighbouring Avonbourne School.
Just yesterday afternoon a 13-year-old boy was detained by police on suspicion of causing criminal damage after two bus windows were smashed outside Avonbourne.
The problems will be raised at a meeting of Bournemouth council's Anti-Social Behaviour Panel later this month.
Jim Jaye, operations director at Yellow Buses, warned: "I can no longer tolerate the conduct of the pupils from Portchester School.
"I will not have our staff and customers subjected to their foul mouths and dangerous behaviour."
Mr Jaye told how a cyclist was assaulted by a gang of boys after boarding a school bus to complain about them spitting at him on April 26. Girls and boys from Portchester and Avonbourne schools in Harewood Avenue are both said to cause problems on the number 35 service bus from the Broadway.
Portchester's head teacher Chris Bradey said: "We take a very dim view of this kind of behaviour. It is bringing discredit on the school."
Head teacher of Avonbourne, Pauline Greaves, told the Daily Echo: "We take complaints about bad behaviour on buses very seriously. We have sent letters to the parents of pupils who travel on that bus and hope Yellow Buses will take action if it is repeated."
