HIGH-heeled shoes, skateboards and dinosaurs are just some of the favourite things chosen by children across the borough in a competition organised by students from the Arts Institute at Bournemouth.
The pair of third year arts event production students organised the competition for youngsters aged four to 11 in Bournemouth, Poole, Dorchester, Winchester and Southampton, as part of their degree.
Twenty-five schools took part and the students, Hannah Waller and Claire Davies, had to wade through more than 1,000 entries aided by senior lecturing staff from the ins-titute who finally judged the designs.
The competition brief for the children was simple - design a postcard showing your favourite thing.
The winner will see their design made into a real postcard, and the runners-up will receive art goodies.
Exhibitions of the best designs were also held at venues across the region, including the institute.
Claire, 20, said: "We had such fun organising this competition and hope to do it again next year once we've graduated. The schools and the children were fantastic."
