A REWARD of £10,000 has been offered in a bid to catch the gunman who killed innocent Glen Hudson in a Bournemouth nightclub.

Murder squad detectives hope the reward could unlock vital evidence so the 35-year-old's family can start to rebuild their lives.

Glen Hudson, an Army physical training instructor, was shot dead in Elements nightclub in Bournemouth's Fir Vale Road in the early hours of Friday December 14 last year.

A team of 50 detectives is working on the case. A statement from his family urged people to come forward, anonymously if necessary.

"Think how you would feel if your brother, father or son had lost their life like Glen. You would want people to come forward to find the killer," the statement said.

"Just one phone call could help us start to bring this agony to an end.

"Glen was always such a supportive and down-to-earth guy - not just to his family but his friends as well. He was an innocent victim in the wrong place at the wrong time and did not deserve to have his life cut short in this way."

The reward of £10,000 for information leading to the conviction of Glen's killer has come from two sources who wish to remain anonymous.

Detectives believe the key to the case may lie in London, because many of the 1,500-2,000 at the MTV Lick Party last year came from the capital.

Detectives want anyone who was at the party and has not contacted them to get in touch so they can be eliminated from the inquiry.

Detective Superintendent Phil James of Dorset Police said: "Glen's death has been a terrible ordeal for his family. I would appeal to anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to get in contact and help find Glen's killer so his devastated family can start to rebuild their lives."

Police believe December's tragedy started with an argument between two men which resulted in a friend of one of the men being shot through the nose. That man, from Richmond in Surrey, survived, but the bullet carried on for several yards before striking Glen Hudson in the head.

DS James said: "There were up to 60 people in the vicinity of the shooting and so far only a minority have come forward."
