Thrilling

And lifting the silverware in such convincing fashion proved the perfect end to what was a thrilling day for the teenage soccer starlets.

Manager and former Terras' defender, Willie Gibson snr, explained: "The day began with the boys having the use of the Hotel Rembrandt's swimming pool and leisure facilities in Dorchester Road and that was followed by a team breakfast in their new carvery room.

"We were then transported to the ground in a Bluebird coach - the executive one which was used this season by the players of AFC Bournemouth.

"Everything was laid on free of charge for the boys and I'd like to say a big thank you to both the Hotel Rembrandt and Bluebird Coaches for their fantastic support and I'm was just delighted we were able to repay their generosity by bringing back the cup."

Co-manager Geoff Webber added: "On behalf of myself, Willie and all the boys, I'd like to pass on my gratitude to everyone who has made this such a successful season.

"Particular thanks must go to all the parents for their continued support and to all our helpers and sponsors."
