Bands playing in the Bournemouth region this week.
Bartonka plays host to a new night of all-things American on May 12, as the people who brought you the Solid Air sessions Rubber Soul electric night (also at Bartonka) unveil Route 66.
Featuring new band Funhouse - who have a series of dates coming up in the local area - and DJ Easy Rider, Route 66 attempts to evoke an imaginary journey from Chicago to Los Angeles in a '56 Chevy, '67 Harley, '78 Greyhound, bareback Mustang, covered wagon, jeep and nude hang-glider (it says here, anyway).
Tickets will be like gold dust, but three of the area's finest rock bands team up for a triple-header at Hamworthy Sports Club on May 10. Deep Red, Mission Impossible and QED will all be playing for your aural edification - enjoy.
Having enjoyed a sell-out gig supporting Mungo Jerry at Mr Kyps a couple of weeks ago, Fleetwood Mac tribute band Fleetwood Max play The Gander on May 10, while the cheerfully named Dying Day play the legendary Holdenhurst Road pub on May 11
As for Mr Kyps, the Parr Street social club is celebrating a change in licensing, meaning you don't have to be a member to go.
This should open it up as a major new venue for local bands as it offers a full stage, lighting and a PA system.
On May 10 long-running locals The Stilettos play the venue, while guests Never The Bride gig there on May 11.
