NURSES from Dorset County Hospital were out gathering support for their profession at a Dorchester supermarket.
A roadshow held to mark National Nurses' Week was held at Tesco to help shoppers understand the changing face of modern nursing and encourage new recruits. There was also a fun quiz to highlight the work of midwives, health visitors and nurses working round-the-clock for the community.
National Nurses' Week is held every year around the time of Florence Nightingale's birthday.
Dorset County Hospital, which is based in Dorchester, is celebrating by decorating the children's Kingfisher Ward with colourful posters, such as one of a 'Groovy Chick' nurse and a picture of 12 members of the nursing team.
