Dorchester tennis coach Ros Clark has landed a club trophy just six months after undergoing a hip replacement operation. Ros underlined her amazing recovery from the surgery at Southampton General Hospital in October when she teamed up with husband Al and to win the bi-annual Peter Cox Memorial tournament at the Dorchester Tennis and Squash Club.
After the first round robin stage, pairs were drawn out of a hat and it was a coincidence that husband and wife were drawn to play together from the semi-finals onwards.
In the final they came up against Colin Turner and Greg Day and after a close start, the couple emerged decisive winners by 6-2.
