TWELVE students and two members of staff from Weymouth College joined the rest of the competitors from the South West and travelled to Swansea for the British Colleges Sport National Championships.
Over 1,400 competitors from eight regions took part in 11 sports, competing for The Wilkinsons Sword.
The competitors from Weymouth College had mixed results. The volleyball team were successful in two matches and came seventh. The trampolinists performed well and gained silver medals in the men's team event, narrowly missing gold by less than a point.
The closing ceremony was a momentous occasion with the South West teams winning the men's competition, the ladies competition and the overall trophy The Wilkinsons Sword
