THE Bard's back in Bridport next week when students of the Bristol Young Vic Theatre School bring their adaptation of Love's Labour's Lost to the town.
The production, which has received rave reviews from theatre critics, uses wit and sparkle to tell the tale of four young men who vow to dedicate themselves to study and self-denial - and are sorely tempted by the presence of a beautiful princess and her friends.
The troupe has moved the play from medieval England to an Edwardian setting which gives the tale a lift.
Love's Labour's Lost is at Bridport Arts Centre on Saturday, May 25, at 7.30pm and tickets cost £8 (plus concessions).
Next Thursday, the arts centre is hosting Zest 7! - a performing arts nightspot organised with the town's youth centre and aimed at local youngsters.
Events kick off at 8pm and tickets are £1 on the door.
