ESPORTA Ladies made sure it was a case of once bitten twice shy as they snatched National Club League victory from Ivybridge on a tie-break shoot-out.
After disappointingly losing out on the tie-break at Bath University last month, the Broadstone-based outfit learnt from their experience to clinch the match 4-3 overall.
The ever-dependable Shirli-Ann Siddall and Colette Caple put Esporta 2-0 ahead with 6-1 6-3 and 6-4 6-4 wins in the singles.
But Ivybridge hit back as firstly Jenni King was overhauled in three sets before Ros Topple lost out 6-4 6-3 to draw the match level going into the doubles.
Again Siddall and Caple put Esporta in the ascendancy as they destroyed N Broadbent and A Cox 6-0 6-1.
But, after King and Topple fell 6-4 6-3 to L Fletcher and C Knight, the Esporta girls held their nerve superbly to take the shoot-out 3-0.
