VETERAN pop japesters The Barron Knights lead a special Call Up The Groups line-up as the latest golden oldies nostalgia tour arrives at the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre on May 17.
Their conscripts include fellow 1960s veterans The Tremeloes, The Fortunes and Marmalade.

Marching orders
MILITARY music lovers are in for a treat as the world-famous Central Band of the White Russian Army marches into action at the Pavilion Theatre in Bournemouth on May 17.
Playing classics and Russian folk, with modern, popular and jazz numbers thrown in, the band has toured the world to critical and popular acclaim.

They're polished
HIGHLY acclaimed brass quintet Chaconne makes a rare Dorset appearance this weekend with a concert at the Sturminster Marshall Memorial Hall near Wimborne.
Founded in 1984, Chaconne has a reputation as one of the most exciting and versatile ensembles touring Britain today with a repertoire that extends from Praetorius to Miles Davis.

Take note of trio
THE Frascati Trio play St George's Methodist Church in Portman Road, Boscombe, on May 17. Formed by three members of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, the trio will play a programme of light classical music.

Sharp-shooting
RAYMOND Froggatt headlines this weekend's three-day Weymouth Country Music Festival.
The festivities kick off today with a country dance evening at the town's Pavilion Theatre and continue until Sunday with a tribute to Patsy Cline and Jim Reeves. Froggatt and his band play on May 18.
Other events include a Wild West Roadshow including cowboy stunts, knife throwing and what is described as "giant inflatable red-indian wrestling".
