AN ELDERLY man's home has been raided by three men claiming to be police officers.
They ransacked the house after distracting the frail pensioner.
It is the latest in a series of similar incidents and police are warning householders to be on their guard.
The three conmen struck in Bridport on Saturday,
Detective Inspector Marcus Hester of Weymouth CID said today: "All householders should be on their guard and ask any caller for identification which police officers are only too happy to provide."
The incident follows similar ones in Bournemouth and Poole.
