JUBILEE events and open air concerts will take pride of place on a new noticeboard in Dorchester's award-winning park.
Members of Friends of the Borough Gardens have organised for the oak panel to be put up at an entrance on the corner of Bowling Alley Walks and West Walks.
Events in the borough gardens for the Queen's Golden Jubilee on June 2 to 4 will be among the first notices pinned up on the board.
Lorna Low, from Friends of the Borough Gardens, said: "We offered to have it done for the town council.
"There is already a notice board at the north end of the gardens, but we thought it would be a good idea to have one for people coming along the other walks."
She added: "It is made of light oak and is beautifully made."
Inmates from the Verne Prison workshops made the noticeboard and Dorchester Town Council gardeners put it up.
Dot Treavis, Friends of the Borough Gardens treasurer, said: "It is a lovely piece of work and was very reasonable."
