LYMINGTON & New Milton have announced a new four-figure sponsorship deal with Bashley-based construction company Parkcrest.

Parkcrest succeed Eagle Hoburne as Linnets' main sponsors and will back the Fawcett's Field outfit for the 2002-03 campaign with an option to continue their support the following season.

The company's owner, Richard Kingham, was previously involved with Linnets' Wessex League rivals Brockenhurst and is well known in local non-league circles.

And lifelong Cherries fan Kingham admits it was partly Linnets' developing links with their Football League neighbours which encouraged him to get involved at Fawcett's Field.

He said: "I like the set up Lymington have got with Bournemouth with regards the youth development centres they are running and the reserve team matches being played there.

"It excites me and I think it is good Bournemouth have got involved in local football.

"I like the set up at Fawcett's Field. The ground is nice and the people at the club are all positive people who are confident of taking the club forward and getting into a better league."

Linnets commercial manager Keith Williams said: "We are delighted to have Parkcrest Construction on board for next season."

Williams also revealed he hopes to confirm another major sponsorship deal in the coming weeks.
