Dorchester Ladies Football Club have launched a campaign to attract schoolgirl footballers to play in a planned new Dorset under-10 league.
The club already held informal training sessions aimed at this age group and coaches Julie Bartlett and Foe Carey, who co-manage the youngsters, now plan weekly coaching for girls aged between seven and 10.
Both are former players and Julie has recently completed the UEFA Junior Managers' Certificate.
This combination of expertise along with the support of the older players offers a great chance for newcomers to the sport.
Dorchester Ladies are also offering the chance for girls to play in the Under-12s and 14s section, with the announcement of an under-16s side starting this summer for next season's new league.
Any girls over the age of 14 who are physically fit and keen to learn about the adult game, can come and join in with the senior side during pre-season training which begins in July.
Dorchester Ladies have been very successful over the past couple of seasons and are now looking to the future to strengthen the club further by introducing youth teams.
"There are already some youth teams available to youngsters but this season with the new development of an all-girls under- 10 Dorset League, we are looking for young new talent around the area to come and play football," said Julie Bartlett.
She added: "The proposal of a new under-10's Dorset League for girls is very exciting as the sport is increasing world wide."
