Portland Red Triangle play their second home game of the season when they entertain Poole at Reforne tomorrow.
Two disappointing performances following the opening day win at Dorchester have left the islanders struggling for points at the wrong end of the Premier League table and they will be hoping for better things tomorrow.
On the plus side, Triangle are able to select a practically full-strength side, with a full squad of players available for the first time this season. With the exception of opener Simon Barrett, who sustained a bruised foot in last week's defeat at Redlands, skipper Martin Hewson is able to decide who to leave out, rather than who to bring in.
Ben Doidge retains his place in the line-up following a good performance last week, when he followed up his fine effort against Weymouth by scoring his second successive score in the 70s for the club's Sunday team.
Will Curtis and Glen Kelman are both available after missing last week's game, as is Alex Charlton who returns from holiday, and the skipper is hoping for an improved performance from his team.
"Our top order batsmen have not really been firing so far," he said, "Which means that we have obviously been short of runs in the last two games. It just needs somebody to hang in there and grind out a score which we can build the rest of the innings around. Hopefully tomorrow we can bat to our full potential. At least we have our full complement of bowlers to choose from and we are confident of being able to record our second win of the season"
Triangle's opponents tomorrow have won two and lost one of their three games. They recorded a good win against Parley in the opening game of the campaign, but then lost at Broadstone, before redressing the balance with a good victory over Wimborne last week.
