Dorchester Football Club are planning an England-Sweden World Cup Breakfast event to unveil the new 40-inch TV screen which has just been installed in the lounge bar at the Avenue Stadium, writes David Swain.
England fans can watch the action from the World Cup opener against Sweden on the new screen on Sunday, June 2 while enjoying a bacon roll and an early morning pint after the club applied successfully for a special drinks licence.
"The first drink and the bacon roll is included in the ticket price of £5 and we will also be offering beer and lager at a special promotion price," said club director David Grassby.
"The club will be open from 9.30 with the match kicking-off at 10.30. We expect it to prove quite popular with fans and as tickets are limited it is advisable to book early by contacting Keith Kellaway on 262451."
n Former England and Spurs star Jimmy Greaves has been booked to speak at a Sports Dinner at the Avenue Stadium on October 10.
