RENOWNED dance troupe Ballet Central brings its stars to Bridport next week for a two-night visit.
The group, which was founded 17 years ago as a part of the Central School of Ballet, is one of the UK's most popular touring dance ensembles and has become a well-known showcase for up-and-coming stars of the world of dance.
The Bridport Arts Centre shows will include a one-act adaptation of Pride and Prejudice with a musical score by Carl Davis, as well as forays into classical, jazz and contemporary dance movements.
Accompaniment will include Holst's St Paul's Suite, the Neville Brothers' Yellow Moon, Vivaldi's Violin Concerto and pieces by Michael Nyman and Philip Feeney.
The performances are on Thursday, June 6, and Friday, June 7, at 7.30pm.
