ASKLEY Moon is back on the golf course after being sidelined with a broken ankle and is in the money again.
The talented Ferndown assistant, 26, played in the South West Championship in Devon and returned to his home course to finish in a three-way tie for second with Rod Davis (Canford Magna) and George Ryall (Clevedon).
They shot two-under-par 69s, one behind former Dorset county amateur Marcus Higley (Yeovil) who was making a rare appearance in the West Region.
Moon pocketed £388 and explained: "I was going to Cowes to see the yachting and slipped on the platform at Southampton station and ended up in hospital with a broken ankle, and ligament and tendon trouble."
He made a comeback in a South of France Pro Am in Cannes and his team of Ferndown's Nigel Cox and Clive Howie and Tony Sword (Queens Park) finished third.
The day was an enormous success in sunny conditions and past captain David Darts and regular Pro Am organiser Ted Preston raised another useful sum for charity.
Former Ryder Cup player Paul Way was one of the guest professionals and he shared ninth place.
