RESIDENTS of Sway celebrated the Queen's reign this weekend with the start of their Golden Jubilee party and carnival.
The celebrations kicked off on Friday with a dance to Grey Roots at the Sway Club and are set to continue until Sunday. Over the weekend locals enjoyed boules with games for juniors and seniors and a drama evening.
On Sunday a day of activities was held at the White Rose Hotel including a car treasure hunt and a BBQ and line dancing evening with entertainment from Highcliffe Brass Band.
On Monday villagers took part in a walking carnival procession celebrating 50 golden years.
Yesterday the weather kept fine for a day of sporting activity including a golf driving range, an assault course and a cricket match.
Tonight locals can pick from taking part in a fun quiz at the Hare and Hounds or a party sequence dance in the village hall - both events are being held at 8pm.
Tomorrow pony riders can gather at the Longslade Bottom car park at 10am for a Forest Ribbon ride.
In the evening a beetle drive is on in the Church Rooms at 7pm.
On Friday a walking treasure hunt will be held from 5.30pm to 7pm at the Forest Heath Hotel. The evening celebrations begin at 8pm with a Nostalgic Whist drive.
The big day is on Saturday with the Bumper Jubilee Sway Fete at the village school from 1.30pm.
The final day on Sunday includes a children's fun run, a five mile run and a teddy bear's picnic.
A thanksgiving service will be held at 6.30pm in St Luke's Church.
