A MAN appeared before Bournemouth Magistrates on Saturday charged with the murder of Christchurch woman Samantha Marie Vines.
Michael John Catling, 25, of Bishop's Stortford in Hertfordshire, spoke only once to confirm his name, age and address.
He is charged with the murder of the 26-year-old between August 5 and August 8. Samantha Vine's body was found in the early hours of Thursday at a flat in Southey Road.
Catling was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Friday.
