Fitz ton is easy for Bridport
BRIDPORT 267-2 (20pts) beat WAREHAM 124 (2) by 166 runs.
BRIDPORT were far too strong for 10 man Wareham and kept up the pressure on league leaders Fovant.
Veteran skipper Sean Fitzgerald and young Paul Tweddle took starring roles in their massive 166 run victory.
Fitzgerald hit his second ton of the season with some delightful shots all round the wicket.
The pair put on 168 for the second wicket before Fitzgerald ran himself out for a brilliant 123.
Fifteen-year-old Tweddle continued the onslaught with 14-year-old Pete Moxom - the two teenagers smashed 71 runs off the last eight overs.
Bridport's bowlers did not have things all their own way. It took them nearly 35 overs to dismiss Wareham's 10 men.
Another young starlet, Ryan Hayter, bowled well for his three wickets and Chris Backhouse took 2-15 from nine overs.
Wareham captain Andy Nicholson stood firm, showing some fine resistance to carry his bat for 54.
