Symene blown away
SYMENE 60 (0pts) lost to QUEEN CAMEL 61-2 (5) by 8 wkts
SYMENE'S promotion prospects suffered another blow with their third consecutive defeat.
They had no answer to Queen's fearsome bowling attack on a green bouncy wicket.
Opener Richard Keech, who top scored on just 15, said it was the most difficult innings he has ever endured.
"Why would any captain winning the toss bowl first with temperatures soaring to over 30 degrees?
"It's the quickest I have ever faced and he was certainly intent on upsetting us with short-pitched bowling. Simply too good for any of us."
Symene's destiny is still in their own hands however, but they need to win all of their four remaining matches.
