IN the same week as A level results were published, education chiefs have been forced to defend a spelling clanger which appeared outside an East Dorset school.
To the amusement of passers-by, the words "No Enery" - instead of No Entry - have been painted on the ground by the exit gate at Ferndown First School.
A Dorset County Council spokeswoman said: "The school arranged for the sign to be painted by a private contractor. They have realised their mistake and will be rectifying it hopefully on Monday morning."
