TABLE-topping Bridport travel to Screwfix Direct Premier Division new boys Exmouth Town in buoyant mood tonight (kick-off 7.30pm).
After trouncing Dawlish Town 5-2, the Bees will be brimming with confidence but
manager Peter Conning is not expecting any walkovers at the King George V ground.
He said: "I think Exmouth will be a lot stronger and will be more organised but I'm optimistic that it's a game we can win.
"It's hard to assess Saturday's performance. It has been a worry that we have not taken advantage of teams like Dawlish in the past and this time we did.
"But we had so many chances it could have been at least 10."
Conning will have to find an alternative for the holding midfield role, normally filled by captain James Gisborne, who does not want to commit to the team at the moment and is not making himself available.
Darren Stewart stepped in at Sandy Lane, but he is working away so Conning may call on Simon Austin, who should have recovered from a calf strain, or teenagers Dave Penn and Jamie Fry.
Defender Darren Grabham is eyeing a comeback after his knee injury was passed fit in a recent scan.
He is likely to start in the reserves over the next couple of weeks to regain his match
fitness.
