BOURNEMOUTH'S Tamsin Skan, 26, is the star of a new multi-million pound advertising campaign by Bacardi Breezer.

The prestigious TV and radio campaign has proven so lucrative she has just bought a swanky new flat in London's Notting Hill but she revealed she had to travel to Australia at short notice to make the advert.

"I got a call at 7.30pm telling me I had got the job and it was only then that they told me it would be filmed in Australia and I had to leave the next day!"

The journey to Brisbane was to prove a nightmare after she missed a connecting flight from Dubai to Singapore and four planes and four days later she finally arrived.

"I got there on the Friday afternoon and felt like I should be in bed but got whisked straight into rehearsal with greasy hair and looking 'delightful'!

"The filming would start next morning but I couldn't sleep - I was wide awake."

Tamsin arrived for two intensive days of filming seriously but she says the excitement and the adrenaline took over.

The advert called "Girlfriend" is set in a busy coffee shop and opens with Tamsin talking to her boyfriend's very prim mother, who's questioning how her shy, retiring "darling son" is getting on in the relationship.

Before she can stop herself, in a style reminiscent of Meg Ryan's infamous caf scene in 'When Harry Met Sally', Tamsin starts to describe her boyfriend's glowing qualities in rampant detail!

The strapline : "You can't Keep it Bottled Up" is used for the advert which runs concurrently with another called The Boyfriend.

Tamsin admits that re-enacting Meg Ryan's caf table passion wasn't easy.

"It was quite embarrassing so it was quite good being tired and sleepy and it was fine. Everyone was so nice and laid back and the director, Paul Street, was so brilliant and funny I just enjoyed it so much.

"We filmed it tens and tens of times - literally hundreds of times over two days.

"By the end of it I had bruises on the backs of my legs where I'd been slamming them on the back of the table."

The advert looks certain to bring many new projects Tamsin's way. She will start shooting a new TV drama next month with Spooks director Rob Bailey.

The drama will star Tom Hardy (the villain in the latest Star Trek movie) with Tamsin playing his girlfriend.
