BRIDPORT Reserves recovered from a 1-0 deficit to get their first points of the season. The Bees' seconds were a goal behind inside the opening two minutes after another sloppy start and to make matters worse, Richard Middleton was sent off on the half hour for lashing out after a series of fouls against him went unpunished. The Bees finished the first half the better team and they grew in confidence as the second period went on. They got their reward with 18 minutes left when Jamie Fry picked up a loose ball in the penalty area and struck a half volley home. Six minutes later, substitute Mick Gilmour steered the ball home to put 10-man Bridport in front and their fitness and concentration held for the three points. Bees Res: Carter, Fry (Symes 84mins), Richards, Cadman, Smith (Menaldino 75mins), Foote, Aplin, Thomas, A Gale (Gilmour 55mins), Middleton, Hitchcock.
