OLLIES, 360 flips and nose manuals were just some of the gravity-defying tricks performed when the Eastpak Transition Tour rolled and jumped on to Bournemouth's Pier Approach yesterday afternoon.
Professional skateboarders and BMXers were putting on a stunning display on a ramp of how to perform with as few wheels as possible on terra firma.
The tour, which had visited five other towns across the country in the past week, was in Bournemouth to try and raise money for the King's Park Skate Park.
Troy Rice, treasurer of the King's Park Skate Park, said: "We're trying to raise about £300,000 to build a new skate park and hope this event will bring in at least £500.
"So far we've raised about 10 per cent of the total needed and are keen to hear from anyone who can help us with our fund-raising.
"The council has given us £7,500 as well as someone to fill out applications for additional funding from the Lottery or regeneration money. And thanks also to Eastpak for coming to Bournemouth to support us."
