WITH four players on holiday, Dorchester bring in two players for their season's debuts when they host Broadstone at the Rec tomorrow.

Former county opener Dan Thorne, unavailable up to now because of work commitments and a broken hand, is called up to fill one of the top order vacancies.

And making his first team debut will be Nick Joslin, brother of vice-captain and Premier Division regular Simon, who has played all his previous cricket in the club's Second Xl.

"Nick is a medium pacer who has the ability to swing the ball quite considerably in the right atmosphere," said skipper Tony Foot who marked his own return after injury with a season's best innings in the Carl Brissett-inspired defeat at Parley last week.

"He didn't play a lot of cricket in his younger days but this season he's been turning out regularly for the Seconds and it has made all the difference to his bowling."

Simon Joslin and Pete Tucker are also back after missing the Parley defeat, but missing on holiday tomorrow are Quinten Miller, Rob Acheson, Steve Clifford and Matt Chalmers.

Dorchester won convincingly at Broadstone earlier in the season and though the county town side's recent victory at Blandford made them almost mathematically safe from relegation, Foot would still like to see them

banish all doubts with another success tomorrow.

"The key will probably be in winning the toss because we have only won when we have batted first this season," he said. "If you study the rest of the league's results that is the case in most games."

Dorchester will be inviting spectators to join them in a barbecue during tomorrow's game.
