RINGWOOD showed what a force they have become with a 14-0 (92-53) whitewash of Alexandra Park, the club who finished third in Section One last year.
Bernard Fenner, Fred Merritt, Rob Huggett and Alan Bryant (27-14) led the Foresters' spree.
It was an ideal follow-up to their opening-day victory over Wimborne but the real test will come with a double-header of away matches this weekend against local rivals Braeside on Saturday and Boscombe Cliff in a rearranged match on Sunday.
Braeside proved how difficult they will be to beat on their own artificial surface by building an advantage of over 20 shots against Boscombe Cliff.
However, hopes of a memorable victory for the St Leonard's club were washed away by an interruption for rain which not only disrupted the home side but seemed to refresh the champions who stormed back when the downpour eased to win 10-4 (88-80).
Ted Spiby, Ray Southgate, Peter Lloyd and John Barrie (27-15) headed the Braeside effort with Stuart Trees, Brian Frith, Gerry Davis and Leo Pope (37-16) inspiring the Boscombe revival.
Braeside may not be the same force away from home. They were sunk 14-0 in their rearranged fixture at Branksome Park and last summer's runners-up now head the table following a slender 82-79 success which earned 10 points at Southbourne.
Geoff Luckham, Paul Tidby, Doug Mitchell and Mike Grimsdale (24-16) were the Branksome mainstays while Peter Dockree, Keith Aldridge, Dean Hopkins and Dennis Simpson (22-17) were the Southbourne aces.
Peter Langford, John Simmons, Ray Brinsden and Ken Hann (28-12) starred as West Moors Memorial polished off Bournemouth 10-4 (83-74), Gary Koch, Vic Bruce, Dennis Perrior and John Plomer (28-17) keeping the Meyrick Parkers afloat.
Chris Higham, Terry Middleton, John Hill and Bill Foreman (27-18) steered Wimborne to a 10-4 (88-82) verdict at Poole Park whose top rink consisted of Mo Foord, Jim Buckman, Jack Myers and Alec McKenzie (23-20).
A 32-13 dazzler from Paul Willis, Peter Kearsey, Bob Burns and Peter Wooller helped New Milton to a Section Two maximum (97-59) against Swanage while 97 was also the total achieved by Knyveton Gardens who swamped Richmond Park 12-2 (97-65). Steve Hack, Rex Gale, Dave Swindells and Greg Roberts (28-13) were Knyveton's guiding lights and Fred Boulton, Harry Lewis, Gary Lucas and Dave Snow (21-18) picked up the crumbs for Richmond Park.
Iford Bridge also pocketed 12 points but their contest against Electric was much closer with the final verdict 79-75. Although former Iford icon Mike Harley skipped the top Electric rink of Mick Fay, Keith Gray and Brian Butler (23-16), Mark Farrant, Robin Rutty, Dennis Rosam and Alan Doughty (23-18) swung the verdict to the Bridge men.
Dave King, Ray Gollop, John Roberts and Gordon Flay and Geoff Judd, John Woolcott, Richard Lewis and Fred Uren (both 22-13) were the driving force behind Branksome Park A's 12-2 (77-62) beating of Argyll who were spared a whitewash by Seton Smith, John Cuff, Brian Gatrill and Franco Tinelli (21-16).
The 22-13 display from Brian Parker, Richard Sawyer, Bob Steffe and Chris Howard was the platform for Wessex in their 11-3 (81-72) victory over Boscombe Cliff A whose solitary winners were Jack Ridout, Frank Wells, Mo Jones and Brian Winmill (20-13).
A single-rink victory from Clive Gibbs, Ray Ford, Dixie Dean and Tom Beevers (31-19) gave Ferndown the overall verdict 8-6 (77-76) in Section Four against Poole Park A whose top performers were David Grant, Derek Hawes, Alan Hardy and Denis Fletcher (21-16).
Colin Ives, Ted Gunn, Des Jarvis and Derek Purse (30-10) helped Ford-ingbridge flatten West Moors A 12-2 (94-65). Alan Fisher, Derek Eason, Roger Blackie and Eric Baker (21-18) propped up the Memorial men.
New Milton's three sides were all winners, Ron Busby, Eric Ridge, Don Shields and Phil Howard shining as the A stringers sank Swanmore 11-3 (82-65). Tony Warren, Cyril Baker, Bob Ferguson and Fred Brown (25-14) gained the Swanmore victory.
David Grindon, Don McCarthy, David Sealey and John Irons produced a 32-9 stormer as Highcliffe caned Electric A 12-2 (96-58), Ray Taylor, Paul Potter, Derek Brown and Dave Clark (18-16) gaining the Sparks' consolation.
Brian Sexton, Derek Stroud, Alan Hughes and Tony Skidmore (30-15) had a field day in Wimborne A's 12-2 (92-70) eclipse of Braeside A whose saving grace were Roy Butler, Mike Bull, John Burbridge and Dave Watson (23-22).
Milford maintained the early-season pace in Section Five with a 12-point haul though they only overcame Southbourne A 76-68 on shots. Harry Hart, Jim Donaldson, Don Henry and Bill Gorst (24-11) topped the Milford scorechart and John Rawlings, Len Cosser, Richard Thompson and Ron White (29-14) led the Southbourne response.
Redhill Park A had only the slim 18-16 success of Dave Hart, Sid Atkins, Reg Col-borne and Alex Wood to soothe them after a 12-2 (71-63) setback against Poole Park B whose heroes were Roger Tid-by, John Potter, Colin Ansell and Jack Bishop (27-11).
Wally Tanner, Brian Opie, Ted Greenwood and Ian Macpherson (23-13) were the cornerstone as Kings Park A silenced Richmond Park A 12-2 (84-75). Colin Gray, Jim Gorf, Eric Sivess and Vernon Dillon (26-19) kept Richmond in the picture.
A 23-9 card returned by Bob Brunton, Eric Gibbs, Jim Sach and Tony Jay was crucial to Argyll A in their 10-4 (73-69) result against Branksome Park B, Peter Inge, Edgar Deakin, Jim Harper and Peter Dixon (21-11) in form for the losers.
Stan Barnett, Maurice Honey, Brian Tester and David Smith (25-13) were the class act in Ringwood A's 12-2 (80-63) triumph against West Moors Memorial B. Bob Graham, Terry Simmons, Syd Hasling and Norman Blow (22-16) saved West Moors from a whitewash.
