Dorchester wind up their Dorset Premier Division season away to relegated Hamworthy Rec tomorrow in a game that has only minimal significance.
With the county town side only just above the danger zone, it didn't look like being that way until Rec's defeat last week condemned them to bottom spot.
"Now we can just go there and enjoy our last outing of the season instead of being under the pressure of having to win to stay up which looked very likely until we won at Blandford recently," said Dorchester skipper Tony Foot.
However Foot says his side will still be keen to bow out on a winning note with a victory capable of lifting them a few places up the table if sides like Blandford, Stalbridge and Wimborne lose.
"That would put us into mid-table and to be honest we couldn't expect too much more this season after losing the two best bowlers in the league in Sean Walbridge and David Trotter," said Foot.
"We were bound to suffer, but it has allowed us to give Premier Division experience to some of our younger players and they have all benefited from it."
One of the most consistent of those youngsters, Rob Waite, is on holiday tomorrow and misses the visit to Hamworthy.
But after team-raising difficulties last week, when 17 of the club's players were unable to play, the availability situation - which has plagued Dorchester for much of
the season - has eased tomorrow with brothers Quinten and Justin Miller, Matt Chalmers and Rob Acheson all returning to the side.
Dorchester: Foot, Sibley, Chubb, Q Miller J Miller, Acheson, S Joslin, Ames, Chalmers, Derrien, Tucker.
