IAN Robinson admitted his side had performed a "get in and get out" job as first-half efforts from Ben Thomson and Paddy James saw Linnets return from Brighton £1,000 better off.
Linnets produced what Robinson described as nothing more than a "workmanlike" display on a poor Enclosed Ground pitch to set up a testing clash with Dr Martens League Erith and Belvedere at Fawcett's Field on September 13.
Thomson opened the scoring after just nine minutes as he picked up John Bailey's pass and darted down the left before cutting in and firing home.
And James ensured victory shortly after when having chased a lost cause to the by-line, he took advantage of an error by the Whitehawk keeper to convert from an acute angle.
