WAREHAM RANGERS 1 Dorchester RES 4 MAGPIES' Aaron Turner signed off with a double before trying his luck with Salisbury after failing to break into Dorchester's Dr Martens League squad.
Turner, Dorchester leading scorer in the Dorset Premier League last season, buried a 15th minute chance from just inside the box after being put through by Steve Legg and then notched an even better strike a quarter of an hour into the second half.
Receiving the ball with his back to goal, he turned quickly, took a couple of strides and then lashed a superb 30-yarder into the top corner.
Magpies boss Phil Simkin said he was "very disappointed" to lose the former Wimborne Town striker to the Whites, whose assistant boss Tommy Killick had promised him first team football.
"That's the only reason he has gone because they're not going to give him much money," he said. "I don't know how they can makes promises like that but he knows if things don't work out there the door is always open for him to come back."
Anthony Warrington cancelled out Turner's early strike before the lively Steve Legg was brought down and got up to score with a fine free-kick.
After Turner's second, Legg won another free-kick and this time a well-worked routine ended with Lee Christopher scoring a fourth for the unbeaten Magpies.
